.: How she interacts with others :. She is usually somewhat grumpy, so she'll come off as a jerk at first. Although, she does try to make her first impression on someone a... semi-good one. If you get to know her, she'll be a loyal friend; making sure you don't die or something. Her sense of humor is slightly warped, so she'll laugh if you get hurt- unless it's serious. Then she'll do what she can to help out. Overall, she would be a great friend... unless you piss her off. She tends to get mad quickly every once in awhile. She will go as far as randomly attacking- but this is rare. She doesn't have very much tolerance for one's stupidity, and will try her best to ignore them. She does have some... sympathy for them, and will dumb down the way she says things, so that they'll understand. She really doesn't give a shit if this is offensive to them, though. If she thinks of you as a close friend, she will be less grumpy around you.

.: Personality :. A grumpy person, who, as previously stated, has a warped sense of humor. She is overconfident in her abilities, and thinks she could beat up anyone who annoys her. She won’t always beat them up though… not always. She has a slight temper, and has a small amount of tolerance for others. Seemingly rough on the outside, she can be very caring at times.

.: Background :. Katie grew up with a normal life, for the most part. Loving parents, two best friends, a great home. She was never really happy with all this, though. Her older brother was always a jerk. He would randomly attack her at times, which would really piss her off. She would try her best to avoid him by staying with her two friends, Ross and Sebastian, who she’d met while she was at school. She thought of them as her REAL family. They never forced her to live as a girly child, like her parents had always tried to do. She was very content with her life at this moment, and thought it would never end.
But then the infection started.
The three of them set out to Katie’s original home, getting her family to help them find a safe zone. They had been searching for about one week, and then… Katie’s parents heard a noise. A noise they hadn’t heard in a long time. A girl. A crying girl, whose sobs were loud enough for them to hear. Katie urged them not to investigate, but they paid no attention to her. They had wandered off to the source of the sound.
They made a terrible mistake by doing this.
They shined the flashlight on the girl, and asked if she was okay, and if she’d like to come with them.
The next thing Katie had heard was a screech. She ran to the source with Sebastian and Ross, but they were too late. The girl, an infected (a Witch) had just mauled Katie’s parents. Katie ordered her friends to escape in two directions, and she would meet them at the gun shop by midnight. They hesitated, began to speak, but she wasn’t listening. They hesitantly escaped, while Katie got the Witch’s attention. She ran off in a direction separate from where Sebastian and Ross were going, and the Witch followed. The chase lasted for maybe one or two minutes, before the Witch caught up to her. Said Witch attacked, and infected Katie. She tried to play dead to escape her fate. This apparently worked. The Witch became uninterested and left, leaving Katie beaten on the ground. Once Katie was sure that the coast was clear, she weakly got up and thought of going to the gun shop, but she felt she’d slow her friends down. She headed somewhere else, and eventually ended up at a large building. She cleaned her glasses on her jacket and put them back on, reading the sign, which read:

For the Infected and Talented
Katie had decided it would be safe enough to stay here, despite the eerie name.
